WebPT Employees Raise Over $1,400 for DLRR
On December 15, 2012, WebPT held their annual Christmas Party for their employees. WebPT is a company owned and started by Brad & Heidi Jannenga.
Unbeknownst to Brad & Heidi, the employees had planned a charitable action which would benefit DLRR at their Christmas party. Brad & Heidi had lost their yellow lab Topper earlier in the year. Topper was a regular at the office and had endeared himself to the employees who took his crossing over the the Rainbow Bridge, almost as hard as Brad & Heidi. The other thing that the employees knew was the WebPT has been a sponsor for DLRR’s annual Corks & Collars Wine Tasting & Silent Auction since it’s inception in 2009.
Christian and Chelsie contacted DLRR to set up the clandestine operation for the Christmas party. They had ordered some some stuffed animals; yellow labs with the name Topper on the tags. The ideas was to sell them for $20 to the party goers with the profits going to DLRR. They had arranged for us to have a table set up to sell the Toppers as well as allowing us to have our wishing tree set up to sell collars.
All profits went to DLRR. Of course this came as a complete surprise to Brad & Heidi and also brought many tears. They helped DLRR raise $1483 in less than 2 hours. DLRR cannot thank the employees of WebPT enough for their generosity. And a huge thank you to Brad & Heidi for creating such a great work environment for their employees and making Topper an important part of WebPT.
