Ranger
Meet Ranger, a happy, energetic Boxer/Lab mix who is one year old. As you might expect for a young mix of two such high-energy breeds, Ranger is pretty rowdy! He is looking for a new home where he can get some individual attention so he can learn to grow up to be a calm adult dog. (Okay, maybe not calm, but at least polite!). He’s smart and affectionate and trainable where there’s not too much excitement going on. He’s housebroken and has had some professional training already. Ranger’s favorite things are running, playing, biking (well, not biking, but you know), swimming, and chasing birds and cats. He’s very friendly and playful with other dogs. He would probably do best in a home with another dog who’s not quite as rowdy as he is, and he definitely needs a big yard with a tall sturdy fence! Ranger is crate-trained, neutered, and healthy. His adoption fee is $100. Please contact Martha at 602 568-8416 or by email.

Cutter
Cutter is a friendly 5 year old 90 lb lab mix who LOVES to swim and play with tennis balls! He also likes to go along when his Mom or Dad go for a jog - he's quite good on the leash. Cutter loves to play with other dogs and is good with the older kids he's played with before. Cutter needs a little basic training, but really wants your love, attention, and praise so should be a good student! Unfortunately his parents no longer have time for him, so Cutter is looking for a new family to call his own. A family with time to spend with this boy - and maybe a canine playmate - will be rewarded with a very loving companion! Cutter is neutered and up to date on his shots. His adoption fee is $100. For more information or to arrange a meeting, email Emily or call 480-226-2359.

Ruby
Ruby is a spayed female Doberman mix. She is approximately 55lbs and is about 10 months old. Ruby was found by a kind Veterinarian. She is very timid probably due to harsh handling .Ruby is a people dog! She knows many basic commands and should be an easy dog for most anyone. She has already proven to be a wonderful watch dog. Though she is young, she is quiet, well mannered & dog door trained. Ruby would do best with someone that does not work long hours. She is respectful of the other animals and is a real snuggle bug once she get to know the people around her. She needs someone that can give her lots of love & reassurance. She has a very kind quiet nature & wants to please. She needs no more bullying in her life! Ruby's adoption fee is $150 and includes vaccines and a micro chip. To meet Ruby, contact the Four Peaks Animal Rescue at (480) 471-3520.

Alex
I'm Alex, a big loveable 4-5 year old sweetheart! I'll give you lots of love and companionship. My mom sent me to doggie rescue when she lost her home. She hopes I'll find a happy, forever home. I am looking forward to having a real home and family again. I hope you'll consider adding me to your life. You'll quickly fall in love with a big, mellow, softie like me. Please email Karen or call 928 651 5107 to arrange to meet me in the Tucson area. My adoption fee is $125 and includes neuter, vaccinations, and microchip. Thanks! Alexander

Kittens
In addition to rescuing labs, a few DLRR members are also rescuing cats and kittens. Maricopa County Animal Care and Control sometimes turns them over to us when they are sick or too little to be adopted. We foster them and care for them, and when they are well and old enough, they are put up for adoption. Some of these kittens are available to be adopted now. We almost always have an assortment of kitties in all ages, sexes, and colors to choose from, plus the occasional adult cat. Contact Virginia for info on availability. All kittens and cats will be spayed or neutered and up to date on shots prior to going home, for an adoption fee of $50.
